Pool House ADA & Inclusivity Modernization Project
The NWB Board and pool community have been discussing modernizing the pool house since 2020, with the goal of making ADA and inclusivity improvements to ensure accessibility for all members and guests.
In the fall of 2024, we applied to the State of Maryland for a Capital Improvement Grant to make necessary improvements to our facilities.
In May of 2025 we were awarded a $1,000,000 grant that allows us to move forward with the project.
The Board is working to finalize plans now, focusing on the design plan that maintains the integrity of the existing pool house and keeps the lifeguard office where it is at the current front entrance. While they are not the final design, the pictures below capture the essence of the project. The current plan is to begin construction after the 2026 season and open the pool on time for Memorial Day Weekend 2027. We do not anticipate charging members a special assessment for the project.
